In February 2008 we modified the author agreement.  We no longer are using written and signed contracts for our author agreement.  We have simplified the process.   

Author Agreement

Potential Heights LLC (owner of StoriesThatLift.com) agrees to pay the author of accepted stories a payment between $5 (US) and $20 (US).  By accepting this payment, the author is granting to StoriesThatLift.com and Potential Heights LLC the non-exclusive, royalty-free right to publish the accepted story on StoriesThatLift.com, in books, or in audio form for non-commercial and commercial uses.  The author understands that StoriesThatLift.com or Potential Heights LLC may publish some stories in written and/or audio form for sale.  The authors and storytellers of these stories will be recognized with bylines and brief bios.

Authors also grant to the users of StoriesThatLift.com the right to use the audio and written version of the story for personal, non-commercial use.  Authors further agree that they authored the story that has been accepted by StoriesThatLift.com and the author currently has the copyright to the story content.  The author retains the copyright to the story, but has granted the right to publish the story in written, electronic, and audio form for non-commercial and commercial uses to StoriesThatLift.com and Potential Heights LLC.  The author may use the story in any way they see appropriate and legal.

Authors further agree that they have reviewed the copyright page from the StoriesThatLift.com website and agree with the copyright policies stated as they pertain to the accepted story.
